1st Project: Byzantine Empire

This will be our first project this year: BYZANTINE SOCIETY

Here you have a description:

1. Group work.
Teams of 4-5 people
Roles: Coordinator, secretary, speaker, time manager, material manager.

2. Object.
- Paperboard with information (including pictures, maps, mental maps, etc.)
- Video (fancy dresses, scenary, background music, different characters, dialogues, etc.)

3. Each group will research about a character:

- peasant (female)

- Justinian I

- merchant

- clergyman

- craftsman

- The Patriarch of Constantinople

- Constantine XI

- crusader

4. Stages

- Read the information in the book

- Find the information that concerns your character

- Organize the information (mental map)*

- Ask yourself questions about your character: who, when, where, what, how, why, with whom?*

- Research to find answers to the former questions* (homework)

- Bring extra information/materials from home to the lessons*

- Organize questions and answers in a paperboard*

- Write a script for your video*

- Rehearsal for your video

- Record a video that is easy to listen. Send it via Edmodo* (homework)

*You must hand in/send via Internet those to the teacher

5. Evaluation

All of the following will be continuously evaluated:
